Ottawa Locates is a locator firm performing private, underground, utility location services in the National Capital Region of Ontario Canada.

This region includes Ottawa and the greater Ottawa Valley area: Arnprior, Barrhaven, Belleville, Brockville, Carleton, Carleton County, Cornwall, Cumberland, Eganville, Gloucester, Goulbourn, Kanata, Kingston, Manotick, Morrisburg, Napanee, Nepean, Orleans, Osgoode, Pembroke, Perth, Rideau, Rockcliffe Park, Smith Falls, Stittsville, Vanier, and West Carleton.

Safety First!

Safety is very important to us. In the 10 plus years our principals have been doing private underground utility locate services, we have had:

• zero utility hits
• zero contractor injuries caused by hitting a private utility for which we were responsible for locating
• zero onsite injuries for our staff

All of our employees performing locate services are covered by the Ontario Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB). Our accident prevention program includes the following ongoing safety initiatives:

• training all new managers in their roles and responsibilities
• training all new employees in their roles and responsibilities
• we especially cover the hazards likely to be encountered on our typical job sites and in private underground utility location services
• monthly or immediately upon any injury of any sort, our policies require our Joint Health & Safety Committee to review all safety concerns and practices with any updates being communicated promptly to all employees.
